This year, we’re uniting with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to raise funds for sick children and their families.. #MAOTeenGives demonstrates how every act of generosity counts. Your donation will create new hope by providing food, education and medicine to the sickest of children.
While we all enjoy giving and getting, it’s difficult not to consider those less fortunate. Create a new tradition by making your November a ‘Giving Month.’ For local and state titleholders, #MAOTeenGives offers a fantastic and fun way to give back to CMNH and MAOTeen.
On November 1st – November 30th, we would like as many local/state titleholders as possible to work with CMN Hospitals and raise money through www.maoteen4kids.org. The top fundraiser on November 30, 2018 at 12pm ET will win a BRAND NEW Apple Watch Series 4 and a feature on our social media platforms. Happy FUNdraising!!!
The value of giving to others was one of the themes reiterated by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In arguably his finest sermon, The Drum Major Instinct, King notes that personal greatness and service to others is intertwined. In a world filled with people’s selfish endeavors and nations’ destructive engagement in war and violence, King emphasized that a desire to be the best (i.e., be the drum major) can be transformed from a selfish impulse to an instrument for justice if people adopt service to others as their goal. In King’s poignant words, “Everybody can be great, because everyone can serve.”
