ANNOUNCING THE 2016 MAOTEEN COMPETITION HOSTS
Meet the individuals hosting the 2016 Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Competition taking place in Orlando, Florida at the Linda Chapin Theater inside the Orange County Convention Center
Tampa, FL (July 13, 2016) – The Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization announced today that David Weincek will return as the preliminary competition host of the 2016 MAOTeen Competition for the third year. Clint Robinson will be taking to the MAOTeen stage for the first time as final night host with Miss Miss America 2016, Betty Cantrell, joining him as co-host.

PRELIMINARY COMPETITION HOST – DAVID WEINCEK
|
David is an actor, spokesman, host, avid traveler and dedicated volunteer. A graduate of the prestigious New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, David spent most of his career onstage. Recent credits include shooting an ad campaign for Morgan Stanley; filming a commercial for ETrade; starring in a recent workshop at The Dramatist Guild and appearing this season on Law & Order: SVU, The Good Wife and Younger. He is a longtime volunteer with Make A Wish and BOOK Pals. David is honored to be returning to Orlando to host the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen national preliminaries for the third time.

FINAL NIGHT HOST – CLINT ROBINSON |
Clint is an actor and radio DJ based in Orlando where he currently hosts the afternoon show on Orlando’s Mix 105.1. He has been in the entertainment industry since his high school years where his acting and radio career began at the age of 16. Clint works closely with many charities including Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. He is a member of the International Thespian Society, often appearing on local news channels to discuss the entertainment stories of the day. He is “thrilled” to be hosting Miss America’s Outstanding Teen. When he’s not in front of a camera or behind the mic, you can usually find him supporting Orlando City Soccer, spending time with family and friends at the theme parks or at the beach.

FINAL NIGHT CO-HOST – MISS AMERICA 2016

This past year, thousands of young women vied for the coveted title of Miss America 2016 and the $50,000 scholarship award. On Sunday, September 13th, Betty Cantrell, from Warner Robins, Georgia, became the first Miss Georgia since 1953 to take home the crown.
As Miss America 2016, Betty has experienced a year of service that has taken her on a national tour to educate audiences on her platform – Healthy Children, Strong America – encouraging children to make healthy choices and to stay physically active. She will also continue to entertain the nation with her remarkable vocal performances, as well as serve as the National Goodwill Ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Betty is currently a junior at Mercer University, where she studies musical performance. She grew up on a 700-acre farm in Warner Robins, Georgia, and aspires to one day perform on Broadway.
