Singing “God Bless America” at Monday’s MLB Home Opener in Washington D.C. set the tone for Miss America 2010 Caressa Cameron’s star-studded week.  Having the prestigious opportunity to meet and shake hands with President Obama after he tossed out the first pitch created a magical moment for Miss America.  To see a video that a fan posted of Caressa singing “God Bless America,” log on to our Facebook page and look under the fan photos on our Video tab!

The excitement continued on Wednesday, when Caressa was invited to be a part of The Mo’Nique Show , which will air nationally at a later date.  Mo’Nique, who was recently honored at the Academy Awards for her performance in the award winning film, Precious, was thrilled to have Caressa on the popular late-night show.

On Thursday, Miss America worked with the Children’s Miracle Network to promote Dairy Queens’s National Miracle Treat Day (August 5) and was interviewed by FOX & Friends morning host, and Miss America 1989 Gretchen Carlson.  If you missed it, click here to see her interview!

The week will be topped off by the annual Cherry Blossom Parade in D.C. where Caressa will serve as the Grand Marshall and will perform as she travels along the parade route lined with enthusiastic fans and spectacular Cherry Blossom trees in full bloom.
