Miss America 2010 Caressa Cameron Celebrates America in Philadelphia!
Miss America 2010 Caressa Cameron will participate in the Wawa Welcome America! festivities in Philadelphia this weekend. “Welcome America!” is Philadelphia’s 4th of July celebration showcasing all that America’s birthplace has to offer.
Today, Caressa has an interview with WPVI-TV to promote the celebration. If you are in the area, be sure to tune in to the 6 p.m. broadcast! From there, she is off to the National Constitution Center for the “Pops! on Independence” concert.
Tomorrow morning, Caressa will participate in various media interviews with Philadelphia media. In the afternoon, Caressa will enjoy the Block Party in Philadelphia’s Chinatown! While there, she will have the opportunity to meet Mayor Michael Nutter and other city officials. Tomorrow night, she will enjoy the Philadelphia Orchestra’s free neighborhood concert of beautiful music and exciting fireworks.
On Independence Day, Caressa will participate in the Celebration of Freedom Ceremony by performing “America the Beautiful” and the National Anthem with the Keystone State Boychoir. She will then proceed to the 4th of July Parade where she will perform “God Bless America” on a float. Later that evening she will open the “Welcome America!” concert by singing the National Anthem. Performers to follow Caressa include Green River Ordinance, The Roots and the Goo Goo Dolls.
